Virtual Building and Construction

BIM in Virtual Design and Construction

Virtual Design Construction

We are living in a world of smart phones, tablets and smart computers, smarter buildings and integrated facility systems. Our industry is utilizing new methods of designing, construction and are coordinating them that are leaner, more sustainable and provide a safer, more integrated and collaborative overall building process. Currently, Advenser is finding new ways to promote a more seamless and positive project experience.

We follow national standards and resources thereby investing the time, training, research and revenue to develop our own methods in each of our projects. We involve all project team members like designers, contractors and engineers to owners, the surrounding community and the project end users. Being every project is unique, the latest technology is utilized to identify the value, risk and benefits of building information modeling (BIM) and its potential uses. We maintain these throughout all phases of a construction project, from planning, through operational phases.

Our basic BIM execution plan for each project include:

  • PROJECT PLANNING : Equips clients with preliminary budget, energy analysis and site studies for overall project feasibility. Develop working models of existing conditions with minimum details.
  • PRE-CONSTRUCTION : Design reviews for constructability, safety and site logistics. Quantity take-offs, cost planning and more efficient project planning is another feature. 3D models to check various design changes and value addition. Do virtual mockups of building components to provide feedback and cost implications periodically.
  • CONSTRUCTION: Site utilization planning, 3D coordination of building systems, elimination of major conflicts through resolution / clash detection. Information exchange is done among team members that makes added visualization, better communication and assistance in reducing number of RFI’s and unforeseen change orders.
  • CLOSE-OUT : Building system data is gathered, stored and handed over more accurately to the building owner or end user.
